Weather Around the World update
Students continue to gather daily weather data for Weather Around the World. Students studied the data they've collected so far and made a few determinations about the climate in their chosen cities. When our collection is complete, we will chart and graph our data to compare the climates of the cities.
Writer's workshop: Adapting fairy tales
We've been working hard on our adapted fairy tales! Students are using their narrative writing checklists to assist during writing, and here are some fairy tale specific tips:
Reader's workshop: Information circles
As we move through our research unit, we are focusing on cross-text synthesis to better understand our topic. Students are getting a lot of practice identifying subtopics that relate to their ideas in certain texts, and are improving their abilities to use text evidence to support ideas.
